Sunday Service:  A coffee fellowship begins at 9:30 AM.  All are welcome to join in the prayer time at 9:45 before the service begins.  A time of praise and worship begins at 10:00 AM.  After worship and announcements the children are dismissed to Children’s Church.  CCOG teaches verse by verse rather than topically.  Currently Pastor Mitchell is teaching through the Old Testament chronologically.  Sharing of the Lord’s Supper during service and a Covered Dish Dinner after service occurs on a monthly basis.

Children’s Service:  CCOG follows the principle of Nehemiah 8:2 encouraging all ages that are able to understand the teaching to remain in the sanctuary with their parent(s).  CCOG believes strongly in the family unit and the importance of discipline and reverence during the time of worship.  As Jesus grew he became strong spiritually, mentally, and lovingly (Luke 2:40). As our children grow, we want to teach and equip them with the full counsel of God, knowing how much they are loved.  As they mature in the Word, we believe they will develop a Biblical world view and a desire to share what Jesus has done for them and for all.  The Children’s Ministry classes begin after the congregational praise & worship time.  Classes are conducted for little children and are available for young persons as an option if parent(s) prefer.  A nursery and nursing mother’s room are also available.

Mid-Week Service:   A time of prayer begins at 6:30 PM on Wednesday evening.  At 7 PM after a time of worship the Bible Study begins.  The mid-week Bible study is less formal than on Sunday in that questions and comments are acceptable during the study time.  Currently Pastor Mitchell is teaching the Gospels.

Women’s Ministry: A Women’s Bible Study group meets every other Tuesday night which focuses on having a joyful life as we build up our family, home, and church.

Men’s Ministry: CCOG hosts an annual Chesapeake Bay Men’s Retreat with heart-felt worship, teaching, and recreational time. We fish, crab, and cook and eat what we catch. The retreat ends with a steamed crab and corn feast, then a time of taking Communion and encouragement to be men of God. The men also meet on a regular basis to learn what makes Calvary Chapel distinct and our purpose for being an organized fellowship in the community.

Outreach Ministry: CCOG has special services at Nursing Home/Rehabilitation Centers several times a year. We organize and commit to outreaches at the City Park during the summer. CCOG hosts special ministries and speakers to inform the Body of Christ on current issues and give the opportunity to support local and distant missions.

Prayer Ministry: We believe prayer is essential to God for Him to accomplish His purposes on our lives individually and as a fellowship of believers. Therefore, every gathering is bathed in prayer beforehand and individual needs are corporately prayed for. Prayer requests may be sent to:
